GM should fix the problem

Bankruptcy is a bad thing but I think in General Motors case it is necessary. It would be a nasty blow to the US economy but I think it will be worse for our economy if we keep giving out this free money to these companies. I know they are supposed to pay it back to us but the more we hand out the more we borrow and the weaker our dollar gets. I am an electrician and I can figure that out so why cant the smart people in DC? If GM files bankruptcy then that will force them to restructure the whole company which means the big boys at the top will lose their jobs and if we are calling a spade a spade they are the reason the company is in trouble so why shouldn’t they loose their jobs? The top guys and gals aren’t the only ones to blame in this the union also carries some of the responsibility but I have already covered that in an earlier posting. So if they file bankruptcy they are then forced to evaluate the company, figure out what the problem is and fix it so that they can start making money again. This sounds good but there is some cons. a lot of people will be out of a job and they didn’t have a hand in the problem, this means they will stop making a lot of cars, Pontiac and Saturn are going to not exist any more and both are fine cars. Unemployment numbers will certainly go up and the economy of Detroit will take a major blow. I think it is necessary and I hate saying that. But if it don’t happen now it is almost certain to still be looming for the company in the future. I am not any where near an accountant but they have had a bunch of them pouring over the books and they all say that either the company needs more money from Uncle Sam or needs to restructure, A.K.A bankruptcy. So to the fine people in charge of GM I say tootles and lets get this problem fixed so that we can start the rebound of our nations economy. It is a far cry from solution to our nations problem right now but it is defiantly a step in the right direction.
