G20 Coverage

When Obama was elected I swore off following politics for the next four years and focus on sports, fishing and other non-nerd things but I cant help it I am a news junkie. Now that I am married to Lindsey she can see exactly what a nerd I am, I watch the news all the time and she gets to hear me talk to the TV as if magically my TV is equipped with a microphone that connects directly to the nice people on the TV and they can hear my opinion and if I yell at them they will hear and understand my disapproval.
Yesterday as I watched one of my favorite news programs they where covering the G20 convention which for those who don’t know is the meeting of the supposed 20 nations that are the most powerful financially in the world, there is a lot more to it than that but I won’t go into that now. So I am watching and they kept talking about these few things. What First Lady Obama was wearing, how many times she had changed her dress, who made her dress and the fact that the President and his wife gave the Queen an Ipod. ARE YOU SERIOUS?? I had to check and make sure I was the right channel because it sounded like I was watching entertainment tonight. What if this was the former President Bush? All we would hear about is how he was walking down the steps wrong, or something else stupid like that but at least it was about the person our nation elected. I do not get this love affair the media has with Obama. And I know the country was that way with him too but people are catching on as to how touched in the head (handicapped) this man is. His approval rating is slipping. It is at 62% which is good still but it was at 68% which means that people are starting to catch on but the media won’t report that. In all the news I watch all I heard was a tiny little blip that his rating has slipped I had to look it up to see what it was at. Lets rewind two years when the President was Bush. If somebody heard him fart his rating slipped ½% and they would interrupt regularly scheduled broadcasting to make sure the whole country knew about it. This media obsession with Obama is crazy and to add more confusion there are certain people would like to bring back the fairness doctrine because they feel that Rush, Hannity and Beck give the republicans an unfair advantage. I don’t get it I wish they would just report the news and let us decide what we think for our selves and stop trying to “coach” our thinking.

P.S. Hi Darcie! I do remember you!
